INSCORP was incorporated as a stock insurance company on May 29, 1968 and was licensed under the laws of the state of New York on July 11, 1968.

The company was placed into rehabilitation and the New York Superintendent of Insurance was appointed as Rehabilitator on June 30, 2009, by order of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. The Rehabilitator applied to the Court by order to show cause for an order converting INSCORP's rehabilitation to a liquidation proceeding. See Order to Show Cause and Notice for details.
